Smart Villages Networking Corner- Rural Pact Conference

During the Rural Pact Conference (16–17 September, Belgium) — “From Vision to Action: Empowering Rural Areas for the Future” — a key moment in shaping the next EU programming period, the Smart Villages Network hosted its networking corner, Smart Villages for a Rural Future. The session introduced collaboration tools, including the upcoming Smart Villages Database, and gathered feedback on topics such as climate resilience, the green transition, local culture, and housing. Participants explored community-driven Smart Village initiatives from across Europe and took part in a dynamic speed-dating exchange with representatives from Olaszfa (Hungary), Gaiba (Italy), and County Kildare LEADER (Ireland)
