SURE Workshop on Regenerative Agriculture, Sustainable Building & Communities
On 10–11 September 2026, the SURE project brought together almost 80 participants from more than 15 European countries in Poland for two days of learning, practical demonstrations and exchange around regenerative agriculture, sustainable building and resilient rural communities.
Hosted in cooperation with Ostoja Natury, the workshop combined expert presentations with practical examples and on-site learning. Participants had the opportunity to explore regenerative farming approaches, whole-farm planning and sustainable food production, as well as innovative approaches to ecological housing and building with natural materials.
The programme featured Richard Perkins, who shared his extensive experience in regenerative agriculture and farm design; Paul Hendriksen, who presented the experience of the Aardehuis ecovillage and earthship houses in the Netherlands ; and Piotr Ostaszewski, who introduced the work of Ostoja Natury and practical approaches to regenerative agriculture and hemp-based construction.
Beyond the technical sessions, the workshop created an important space for European exchange and networking, bringing together people with different professional and geographical backgrounds to share experiences, discuss challenges and explore practical solutions that can be adapted to rural communities across Europe.
The strong international participation and active discussions throughout the two days once again demonstrated the value of bringing people together around concrete examples and hands-on solutions for a more sustainable and resilient rural future.
